2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan and Coupe
Second generation of Hyundai Genesis was presented at the Detroit Auto Show. After first introduction in 2008 and 2012 restyled version, the time has come for a whole new model. Company decided to do this because they want to keep up with German competitors Mercedes E-Class and BMW 5 Series, which already got their new versions. It is not surprise that new generation is coming only two years after facelift because Hyundai always had the shortest product cycle. It is the firm’s politics, to keep its model fresh and in the loop of competition. New Hyundai Genesis will be introduced in 2014 Detroit Auto Show. The presentation of new 2015 Hyundai Genesis Sedan was scheduled for January 13th, for the press, and 18th, for the public.
2015 Hyundai Genesis: Design
Although design of new Genesis is still pretty much unknown, we expecting new fresh design with significant departure from the automaker’s current themes. Especially on the front end with whole new 2015 Hyundai Genesis Coupe – style grille and headlights. We also expect new bonnet and bumpers. Details of interior are still unknown, but it will definitely be luxurious. We expect new hi-tech technologies to be adopted.
Engine offer will probably remain the same, but with improvements both in performances and fuel economy. Also, Hyundai claims that new chassis will be stiffer and closer to the perfect 50:50 balance level. Optional four wheel drive system is also one more novelty.
A large part of the design of this model is taken almost completely identical compared to the HCD-14 Genesis concept that we have seen earlier this year. Style the front of the vehicle on the other hand is completely different from the current design language of the company. I must say a big grid engine and more aerodynamic headlights. It also states that the car comes with improved suspension and the addition of advanced technology to provide superior atmosphere in the run. For the first time will be offered electronically controlled AWD with automatic power distribution between the axles depending on road conditions. Under the hood are expected to be familiar V6 and V8 engine, upgraded for the new generation of Genesis, paired with a new automatic transmission with up to 10 gears.
